Why a sectional door — and why it matters
A sectional door rises straight up and back along a ceiling track. No swing out onto the driveway. Full width of the opening used. A tight weather seal on all four sides. Combined with 40mm insulated steel panels, it keeps damp and cold out of a building you've invested in — the difference between a space you ignore and one you actually use.

Sectional, up-and-over or roller?
Three door types are common on UK garages, and each has a real strength. Here is how they compare on the things that decide it. Only our door carries figures — they are its published specification.

Eleven finishes, not three on a swatch card: five solid RAL colours, two wrinkle-textured finishes and four wood decors. Match the door to your existing render, brick or timber, or go with our signature Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), the low-sheen anthracite that pairs with the garage body for a single, seamless elevation. The wood decors give a natural warmth without the maintenance of real timber.

Made to measure
Sized to your opening — not a stock dimension
The clear opening height is set by the height build you choose: 200 cm (6′7″) on Standard, 220 cm (7′3″) on SUV and 300 cm (9′10″) on VAN. That is the usable opening a vehicle passes through, not the nominal panel size, so measure your vehicle against it. Whichever build you choose, the door is made to fit your exact opening.

- Is the garage door included in the price?
- Yes — the insulated automatic sectional door is included with every VeltHaven Steel Garage and Insulated Garage build. There is no separate charge for the door itself.
- Why a sectional door rather than up-and-over?
- A sectional door rises straight up and runs back along the ceiling, so it never swings out over the drive and uses the full width of the opening. Ours has 40mm polyurethane-cored insulated panels, U-value 1.0–1.3 W/(m²K), depending on size, and an automatic drive with two remote controls. An up-and-over door is simpler and usually cheaper to buy, but it tilts outward as it opens and many are a single steel skin. Where there is little space above the opening, a roller door is the better fit. Every VeltHaven garage comes with the sectional door; we do not supply up-and-over or roller doors.
- What door sizes are available?
- Door widths run 250 cm (8′2″) – 500 cm (16′5″) (made to measure) per door, depending on the garage. The clear opening height depends on the height build you choose: 200 cm (6′7″) on Standard, 220 cm (7′3″) on SUV and 300 cm (9′10″) on VAN. - What colours and finishes does the garage door come in?
- The door is produced in eleven finishes: five solid RAL colours (Anthracite Grey 7016, White 9016, Brown 8014, Silver 9006 and Grey Aluminium 9007), two wrinkle-textured finishes, and four wood decors. Our signature colour is Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016).
- What warranty covers the garage door?
- The door itself is covered by the VeltHaven 10-Year Structural Warranty — 2 years full warranty + structural cover to year 10. The automation motor carries the manufacturer's standard factory warranty, passed through to you. Does not affect your statutory rights. See full warranty details.
- Is garage door installation included?
- Yes. Professional installation is included with every build — the door is fitted, tested, and handed over as part of the process.
